My Travel to East Coast Canada - Part 3
Prince Edward Island, PEI (23rd August, 2014):
The last day in Halifax was cloudy and bit cold, we packed our stuff to a fun ride to PEI. Saying goodbye to our friends, we decided to take the ferry ride to get on the island. We drove about 100km to get to city called Pictou in NS to ride the ferry to the island. Luckily, we didn't have to wait much to get on the ferry with our car. We packed some fruits, chips and drinks to get on the board. It was an hour ride to the island, beyond fun, when you are surrounded with your loved ones.

It was so windy on the deck and I was a bit scared to stand there much, just enough for a few photos. It was so calm and much warmer on the island. We have a great stop for food and rest before we hit the capital city of Charlottetown.
I was really tired to get out of the car when we got to downtown Charlottetown. My sister got us the most famous 'Cow's Ice-cream'. It is number one ice-cream in the world. I tried their two famous flavours. I really think it is a special ice cream as it was my first time seeing black and white cows. No where but the island had this type of cows maybe that's why they have the best ice-cream (it was a fact I discovered and wanted to share with you here.). It is a must try ice-cream!
By the time we hit the road to our cottage, the sun was already setting we were all exhausted. It was about 9 PM when we got to our cute cottage, in the area called: Summerside. Everyone was happy about the place.
I woke up little early and went around the cottage (Sunday August 24th). It was very hot morning with a lot of mosquitos. We were close to the ocean but it wasn't a very clean beach to spend a day on. I prepared a huge breakfast for everyone and it was photo time around the house.
We went around the island to the north shore and provincial park. I can just express the beauty with the photos. We had stops at the white and red beaches.
Monday (August 25th) was our day back to Fredericton but before that we had a visit to the Anne Sherly (Green Gables). Very historical place, reminded us of our childhood in the beautiful town of Avonlea.
We hit the road again for the adventure on the longest bridge on the ocean. It is the Federation bridge with over more than 13 Kms long. It is a must try. So remember, the way to get on the island is with ferry in and bridge out! The beauty of PEI will stick to our mind for at least a little while. We arrived to Fredericton around 11pm and Kianoosh prepared us food and cake. It was a celebration for Mehrnaz birthday. Happy Birthday my love!
After a couple of days, we were on the road again, this time around USA.
