Milan Fashion Week Roundup

Hello my beautiful friends,

As promised, here is my roundup of Milan Fashion Week (MFW). I saw three key fabrics, lots of denim (seen at Gucci, Emporio Armani, Fendi and Alberta Feretti), suede (seen in Prada and Fendi) and leather.

What is ideal for spring summer this year is culottes, long floaty frocks and maxis, definitely a-line skirt or flare below high waists as well. Lots of sheer fabrics!

Coats and jackets were stars of the show, as JCM explains: 'Prada's were the most extreme, naturally detailed and top-stitched and buttoned up from neck to knee, but at Bottega Veneta, Salvatore Ferragamo, Missoni and MaxMara key shapes were the duster coat, the deconstructed trench and the 70s safari jacket'. I am not sure if I will try the deconstructed trench but I will definitely want trenches in every colour now.

Like NFW, flat shoes are acceptable everywhere. Hair was described as an elevation of slightly rubbish hair, at Prada and Sport the hair was flat, ponytailed as if you were wearing a hat or being caught in a wind getting out of your home.

Colours ranged from aquatic-inspired shades of pearly white, beige and grey to bubble gum pinks and psychedelic hues. It is great to see this big range of colours. White on white has been gracing the runways yet again!

Basically, super sporty and effortless seems to manage to create the perfect look. Spring/Summer 2015 is nothing but comfort and ease of movement from beginning until the end. The girl that doesn't really care about her make-up or hair, wears long asymmetrical coats and who likes to tie her jackets around the waist.

The fashion week at Milan packs up and heads in the direction of Paris to kick off the fourth week of back to back fashion, stay tuned my story of Paris Fashion Week.

With tons of love
Elnaz
