How to grow Instagram Followers Organically

Hello Beautiful Friends,

Today's post is all about how to organically grow your Instagram (IG) followers. Its so easy to get into trap of dangerous spiral of buying likes and followers but there are two caveats to this strategy: first off, you need to be ready to spend a lot of fortune on this and keep the financial investment going for a long long time because as soon as you stop the investment you will see that sudden drop!

Second, the ultimate goal of followers are mostly that you want to sell your service or your product so if your followers are nothing but bots then you are basically talking to yourself! If you agree with the points I have shared with you so far, I encourage you to stay tuned on few tips I share here on how I organically grow my followers.

1) Pay Attention to Your Name on Bio: this really helps on optimizing the SEO of your IG. For example, if you are a photographer, mention photography in your name because when people search for photographer your name may show up even though they have not specifically searched for your name, which is great, right? Also, capitalize your name so you rank higher on the SEO. Definitely make sure you are leveraging the key aspect of the bio section and that you are not putting into waste because that is a precious real-estate to help you rank higher on IG search.

2) Write Captions that Convert: Its so easy to post meaningless emojis and song lyrics but in order to add depth to your IG account you need to create conversations. Yes, we need a great photo so people stop scrolling over our post but its that caption that allows conversations, engagements and connections. Think of IG captions as mini-blogs to sparkle that one-on-one conversations. Most of us really care about the vanity matrix (number of likes and comments) but its most important to engage with ideal client through direct messaging.

Take the time to cultivate that relationship, share vulnerable and deep captions so that people can connect with you; this really contributes to your success. There might be so many people who don't resonate with you that's OK! however, the ones that do will be your biggest fan. Create that great tribe with this strategy: Know, Like and Trust. Let people know you, like what you do and ultimately trust you to sign that contract with you.

3) Mixing Hashtags and Rotate between them: Hashtags are the most relevant piece on each post and how people find you. Use it to your advantage. It helps increase your reach. Don't use generic ones (#business, #design, #food), those hashtags have massive followers so as soon as you have posted your content, your photo will disappear from the hashtag explore page. Use 80% of your hashtags to the ones that have small (<100k) to medium (<500k) number of posts associated with them.

In order to increase your reach, make sure you find the right audience for your post by using the smart way of hashtags. The more tailored and segmented you are, the more chance that people want to see your content because you are speaking to the right audience.

Also, don't use the hashtags over and over again. If you do that, IG will tag you as a spam and will decrease your reach. You need to research your hashtags extensively, create lists and categories of hashtags that you can rotate between. Once in while go back and modify your list.

4) Community Engagement: This is a very exhausting and time-consuming task. However, you need to put the energy back to the community so that you can get what you like. When you engage with the community, the IG algorithm is triggered and it shows more of you to others. The more you interact with others, especially the ones that are not following you, will increase your organic reach.

If you are using IG for your business, its really important that the message comes genuinely from you and that you are the one who is liking your followers posts and are engaging with them.

I hope these are helpful tips to organically increase your IG followers.

What are your thoughts on this?

With Love,
Ellie
