What I have learnt and the advice to my younger self

Hello dear friends,

I have been thinking about my school years for a little while now, especially since I have been at school a little longer than most of my friends. Mostly during my PhD studies, I really wanted to put down what I have learnt. I have been struggling to find the key outcome of this lengthy process. Here it is the end result:

NOTHING COMES EASY! I know, we have heard this a million times. Maybe I had to learn it the hard way. I don't want to discourage you or anything but you have to make sure you put this perspective ahead of you before you start anything, your own business or even learning a new language. I have never considered myself a smart student; I had to work so hard for most of the things I wanted; so I am not sure why mastering this point of view has dawn on me this late in my life. However, this is an advice I will give to my younger self if I ever want to re-start studying:

Take little steps, never think of the outcome, let the universe play its role and you will have whatever you always dreamt of.

With Love,
Ellie
